To ascertain the stress perturbation distribution area of the surrounding rock in the roadway heading of the close-distance coal seam working face, the 10108 working face and the 10109 roadway heading of Shanxi Xiaoyi Xishan Deshun Coal Industry with merely a 16-meter coal pillar were selected as the research subjects. Grounded on the analysis of the excavation and construction traits of the adjacent working face and the roadway heading, a numerical calculation model was established by employing FLAC3D software to investigate the stress perturbation characteristics and regional distribution features during the violent disturbance stage of the adjacent working face"s excavation and the influence of the adjacent working face"s mining pressure on the roadway heading. This study delineated the intense stress perturbation range of the 10108 working face"s mining on the 10109 roadway heading, which can offer effective guidance for the reinforcement of the support of the adjacent excavation roadway.
