Abstract:The rock movement caused by mining will affect the foundation stability of surface buildings, and even cause subsidence damage. In order to study the potential hidden dangers of the foundation of high-rise buildings in the upper part of an old mining area and put forward corresponding prevention measures, the StrataGem electromagnetic system and the combination of numerical simulation and theoretical calculation are used to evaluate the stability. The results show that the structural integrity of the overlying rock in the goaf is good, and the additional stress value is far less than the critical value of instability, and there is no obvious subsidence. The known goaf in the construction project site has a certain influence on the proposed high-rise building, especially in the southeast corner of the high-rise building. The maximum settlement value of the simulation results is 87 mm, and the settlement of other parts of the high-rise building foundation is gradually reduced. The farther away from the goaf, the smaller the settlement value. The research shows that the results of model prediction by integrating geophysical information are basically reliable. This paper will provide theoretical and technical reference for engineering geological understanding of goaf and stability evaluation of upper foundation.
